When a customer enters your room, it probably means they are attracted to you. They’ve seen your profile picture, clicked on it, and are curious to see you on cam. Once they enter your room, you have a chance to hook them — to build a virtual relationship with them.
This means that the first impression a customer has of you is very important.
On cam you only have a few seconds to convince a customer to stay in your room. You can start by greeting them, smiling, keeping your eyes on the camera, and putting on your best face. Of course, I know there are boring moments, but nobody will stay to watch a bored model. Even if you are bored, keep your stream visually interesting.
MOTION ATTRACTS THE EYE
Keep your body moving. Motion always attracts the eye. Even if you are just typing, dancing, wiggling or bobbing your head, motion shows energy. And customers will love to feed off that energy. They will become addicted to it.
SOUND IS YOUR FRIEND
Don’t be afraid to use your voice or make some noise to get their attention. SPEAK to your viewers. Call out their names when they enter. Ask them how they are, where they have been, what they did yesterday. Ask them if they can see and hear you. Sing along with your music or whistle. Do anything to catch attention and make your chat room seem exciting and fun.
If you don’t believe me, think about the opposite situation. Imagine a model who is absolutely silent, not moving, and not even looking at the camera. You don’t want to be THAT model.
BE A FANTASY
We are artists of fantasy. When customers enter your room, they are doing so, because they want to be taken away to whatever fantasy world you can offer. They want to desire you. They want you to desire them. Be the fantasy that satisfies their desires and they will be back for more. In the meantime, keep moving, keep your eyes on the cam, and use your beautiful voice to attract and make a wonderful first impression. We know you can do it!
IN CLOSING
Give customers a first impression that they will remember. When you are on cam you are in charge of your room. Set the right tone and have fun. If you do this, customers will be back for more. They will want to spend more time with you. And your time on cam will be well spent!
